A.J. Green may still come back this season, but it’s not going to be this week. According to Bob Holtzman of ESPN, the Bengals wide receiver will not be ready to play Sunday against the Eagles.

The Browns got a bit of good news today. The team announced that wide receiver Corey Coleman saw a hand specialist this morning, who told him surgery would not be required for his broken hand. He’s expected to miss four to six weeks.

It’s definite that “probable” no longer will be part of the NFL injury lexicon. As first noted (as best we can tell) by Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald and as the league office confirms, the widely-misconstrued P-word has been dumped from the injury reporting procedures.

  • The team announced on Monday morning that wide receiver Sammy Watkins and defensive tackles Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus have all been cleared to practice.
  • Watkins and Williams were on the physically unable to perform list while Dareus was on the non-football illness list.
  • Watkins made steady progress in his rehab and always appeared to be on track for the start of the regular season.
  • Williams ended last season on injured reserve with a knee injury and trimmed his salary in March in order to remain with the team.
