Eagles finally sign Stephen Tulloch

The @Eagles have signed @stephentulloch, reuniting him with his old coach.

  • Per a league source, the Eagles have signed Tulloch to a one-year deal.
  • Signed a 2 down linebacker who will take reps from young guys and doesn’t play special teams, on a team in the middle of a post-apocalyptic rebuild.

Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz wanted to reunite with linebacker Stephen Tulloch. Schwartz is getting what he wanted. Per a league source, the Eagles have signed Tulloch to a one-year deal. It’s worth up to $3 million, with $1.75 million of it fully guaranteed.

John Harbaugh: Eugene Monroe release about football circumstances only

  • After cutting Eugene Monroe, Ravens’ site notes his marijuana advocacy (72)
  • Monroe questions whether marijuana advocacy contributed to his release (73)
  • Next: Giants let Eugene Monroe know his weed advocacy is cool with them
  • The second Stanley was drafted Monroe was done in Baltimore
  • Monroe was also coming off of shoulder surgery and was due $6.5 million in salary, but some wondered if there was another reason for the team to move on.

The Ravens released tackle Eugene Monroe on Wednesday and his departure didn’t come as much of a surprise since the team drafted Ronnie Stanley sixth overall and had previously gone public with their efforts to trade Monroe before the start of the regular season.
